Matt is associate editor and senior reporter at SHNS. He spent eight years with the Lowell Sun and was their State House bureau chief. While at New York University, he was editor of the Washington Square News independent student paper.

A lifelong Boston/South Shore resident, Mike has been the editor of SHNS since 1998. While he was managing editor of the Inquirer & Mirror on Nantucket (1995-1998), the paper got the Massachusetts Press Association's top general excellence award.
